World’s Largest Knitted Flag!

by

How fun is this?!  This flag is composed of over 6,000 knitted squares made by 60+ knitters aged 10-80.  What a project!  The project was led by HCS Crafts as a charity effort to raise money for Willen Hospice.  It is currently making it’s way around to local events to serve as a backdrop, blanket, and clearly a unique photo opportunity 🙂  You can see how much fun it had at it’s unveiling at the Diamond Jubilee event here.  The knitted flag is currently for sale, hopefully someone takes on it’s ownership and preserves this masterpiece!

Knitted Bow Pin

by

Such a cute accessory!  This would be super easy to make, all you need to do is knit a rectangle, seam the edges together, and wrap some yarn around the center to create a bow.  Attach to a bobby pin and viola!  You have yourself a cute new accessory!  Think the lighter weight the yarn the cuter it would come out.  Have you knitted any bow accessories?  If so please share!
